Next DC will open its third data centre in Melbourne as part of its $2.25 billion expansion plans across the nation

Funded by a range of equity and dept capital raising amounting to more than $600 million, Next DC has purchased new locations in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth to establish new data centres.
As Industry 4.0 changes the way companies operate, over the past year Next DC has increased its number of customers by 26 per cent, while its contracted utilisation of its data centre capacity jumped 28 percent to 40.2 megawatts.1

Next DC already provides a total capacity of 55MW from its M1 and M2 sites in Melbourne, with M2 being the only data centre in Melbourne offering Uptime Institute (UTI) Tier IV Design and Construct Certification and 4.5 NABRES rating for data centre infrastructure. The planned M3 site in Port Melbourne will take this offering to a new level, offering 80KW of total IT capacity.
