Opening its doors in 2020, London College of Garden Design Melbourne will offer a unique Garden Design Diploma program, which will be led by award winning designer Brent Reid, and supported by practicing design, horticulture and technical professionals.
London College of Garden Design UK Director Andrew Fisher Tomlin said Melbourne was a compelling option given its rich pedigree in landscape design.

The College’s first Garden Design Diploma program will start in March 2020 and run for four semesters across two years with a new course commencing each year.The Victorian Government, through Invest Victoria, has been working with the College to help them establish a presence in Melbourne.
Founded in 2008, the London College of Garden Design is known for its fresh approach to garden design training and has seen many of its graduates scoop prestigious industry awards, including a gold medal win for Brent Reid at the recent Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
Victoria has a thriving creative industry and is steeped in design excellence. Approximately 5,500 design consultancies operate in Victoria, generating combined revenue of $5 billion servicing local, interstate and international clients.Victoria’s world class capabilities in design are complimented by the State’s 124 public parks and gardens within 5km of the CBD – the most of any state. Victoria is also home to 40 Botanic gardens. In 2018, the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne attracted over 2.2 million visitors, making it one of Victoria’s major tourist attractions.
